Ibiza

If there is one thing I enjoy as much as playing House Music, it is going on holiday - don't we all?
Put the two together and the result is Ibiza. The sun combined with all the House Music you could wish for. My idea of perfection.

There really isn't anywhere else in the world that compares, if House is your bag. People have tried to find the Ibiza experience elsewhere over the years, but still keep coming back. I was there for ten days in the summer of 2009 and can honestly say I enjoyed every minute of it; I will be returning in 2010.

If you haven't been - I highly recommend it. One word of warning though, if you intend to do a lot of clubbing (the main reason why I go) this place is not cheap and I mean NOT cheap.
Obviously you can choose your accommodation based on your budget and also pace your drinking in the clubs if you want to save some cash. To give you an example, the first night there I went to see David Guetta "F**k Me I'm Famous" at Pacha. The tickets were 65 Euros each and the first round of drinks - 4 x Vodka & Red Bull came to 66 Euros!

Other club nights I attended were: Hed Kandi @ Space, We Love @ Space, Garlands @ Eden and Cream @ Amnesia to see Paul Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten.

The one night I was unable to attend, due to unforeseen circumstances (my brothers girlfriend being ill, I have now forgiven you Lisa!) was Carl Cox Revolution @ Space. This is one night I will not be missing in 2010. Carl Cox is probably my favourite DJ for so many reasons. The man is a legend.

Which was the best night? Well most people who know me and my style of Djing would guess Hed Kandi. Although this was a great night at Space, the night that really blew me away was Cream, Amnesia where Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk were playing. A Trance Head I am not, but this was the night that Trance really did make an impression on me. If you like your House of any genre I would fail to see how anyone could not have enjoyed it. The atmosphere was electric, Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk were amazing (see video). The tickets were 45 Euros approximately.

In my opinion the whole Ibiza experience is worth every penny.

You get the sun, the worlds best Dj's playing the best House Music around, in the best clubs in the world.

Perfect.
